What is a Job Posting on Sitters.com?
Sitters.com maintains a nation-wide list of babysitters and job postings for babysitting services, making the process of finding a job as a babysitter quick and easy. A job posting is a page on Sitters.com with the date and time that a parent needs a sitter along with optional information such as the parent's desired sitter qualifications, level of experience, how much the parent is willing to pay, and comments about their family. You search the Sitters.com database of Job Postings based on location and a date range. Then you simply contact the parents directly once you find a match.
The advantage to searching for a job rather than just posting a profile is that you can select jobs for dates and times that you are available. To get started, you must already be a registered sitter on Sitters.com and have a babysitter profile. Log into your account and enter your zip code in the 'Find a Job' section of your main account page. In the search results, select a job posting and Sitters.com will display all of the information the parent has provided the job.
Of course, getting a list of jobs is only the first step. Be sure to read the Sitters.com article Questions to Ask Parents Before Accepting a Babysitting Job for detailed information about interviewing parents.

Notes and Tips for a Successful Job Search
Apply to several jobs, rather than focusing on a single job posting.
Check Sitters.com often for new postings for jobs in your area that parents may have recently posted. You can also receive automatic notification of new job postings in a specific zip code. To sign up, log into your Sitters.com account and go to the 'Email Preferences' area of the 'Account Management' section.
Every job posting is reviewed by our All-Mom editorial staff but sitters also need to perform their own screening.
Try to contact a parent well in advance of the date listed in the job. This will give the parent enough time to interview you and allow you to spend time with their children before you start the job.
