Michael Cravens
Founder and CEO

Mike Cravens is the Founder and CEO of Sitters.com, the #1 source for finding child care, pet care, tutors, housekeepers, and senior care. Mike started Sitters.com in October of 2000 after listening to parents talk about canceling their plans because they could not find a sitter. Sitters.com quickly grew from just an idea to the largest source of up-to-date caregivers.

Focusing on safety, Mike created the All-Mom Editorial Team, ensuring that every single caregiver and job posting is reviewed by a member the team before being made available on Sitters.com. Combined with provider references, free access to background checks, and provider reviews Sitters.com has gained recognition as the safest place to find care and service providers - recently rated by Parenting Magazine as the safest online site for finding caregivers.

Continuing with the success of offering child care providers, Sitters.com recently expanded to offer pet care, tutors, housekeepers, and senior care providers.

Prior to founding Sitters.com, Mike was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps, earning numerous awards including the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Combat Action, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), and Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait).
