Before having kids, Wendy was all business. She worked her way through college earning a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from The University of Florida and an MBA from George Mason University. She spent 12 years working in accounting, financial analysis, business process, systems analysis and design and website development for prominent companies such as PRC and AOL.
Now she enjoys spending her days with her two children. Her 8-year-old daughter plays softball, loves the theater and is a voracious reader. Her 5-year-old son is currently obsessed with Star Wars, Transformers, Legos and talking, talking and, oh yeah, talking. Both of her children also enjoy gymnastics.
Despite her impressive professional background, Wendy is adamant that one of her biggest accomplishments is surviving a 54-hour labor without medication. Some might think that makes her crazy, but we just think that makes her dedicated, which is why we trust her as a member of the Sitters.com All-Mom Editorial Team.
What Wendy Has to Say
"My children are my number one special interest! Apart from the children, I enjoy running and working out, leading my daughter's Girl Scout troop, coaching an Odyssey of the Mind team and running the local elementary school's after-school activities program. I also enjoy training and caring for our family dog, a whippet named Kalli. I have taken her to numerous training classes and Kalli has passed her Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. She has also some agility training and I hope to one day become a therapy team with her
Family is important to Sitters.com and I enjoy the flexibility they provide to work around my kids' schedules. I enjoy being there for my children when they need me, yet still be able to work for a company that helps families!"
